The soil we use is an ocean floor from the Pliocene period.

The vine roots are exploring into the sandy clay-soil, among the fossils of seashells and oysters, which enrich our wines with minerals and marine flavors.

Above all we strive to produce elegant wines, exceptionally smooth and with a strong identity, appreciated by refined customers all over the world.

Decugnano dei Barbi produced the first Sparkling wine Traditional Method in Umbria (1978) and the first Noble Rot wine (1981)
